Burlington Christian Church began in 1971 and is located in the central area I85 /40 corridor where those interstates combine throughout Alamance County. We’re conveniently located between the fast-growing cities of Greensboro to the West and Chapel Hill, Raleigh/Durham to the East but can offer more affordable housing. Burlington had 60,877 people in 2024, and the Burlington MSA has seen double digit growth since 2010.

We’re looking for a Minister to:

• Help evangelize the local area and grow the church body.

• Preach each Sunday unless sick, on vacation, or directed otherwise directed by the Elders.

• Be integrated into the church family.

• Be accountable to the Elders working in cooperation with them on vision for the church, needs within the church, in regular communication with them and the staff.

• Coordinate with the Worship, Music, and Youth Ministries to plan and participate in regular and special services.

• Pastoral care: visit sick members, shut ins.

• Lead the Mid-week bible study.

• Be approachable and willing to hold bible studies with prospects and lost individuals.

• Be a liaison to the community.

• Be committed to personal development.

Education: Degree from Restoration Bible College

Experience

At least 5-year experience as a Minister in Christian Church/Church of Christ or equivalent experience as an Assistant Minister or Youth Minister

We follow the pattern of the New Testament Church as we see it in the book of Acts and our Mission is to Connect people to Jesus and each other. We are mission minded and strive to make an impact in our local community as each one serves with the gifts the Holy Spirit provides for bringing God glory and reaching the lost.
