Senior Pastor

The North Scott Baptist Church, of rural Wisconsin, is searching for a senior pastor who will invest in the lives of the people and teach God's Word and with accuracy, clarity and spiritual application. We are looking for a gospel-centered man who studies the Scripture, both Old and New Testaments, who lives its principles, and who will invest himself in the encouragement and love of Christ's church.

Responsibilities include:

Worship Service:

1. Preaching

2. Worship leadership (in conjunction with lay assistance)

3. Administering the ordinances of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper

4. Officiating at weddings and funerals of church members

Teaching Role:

1. Serve with the Elders as guardians of the truth as revealed in God’s Word, helping to watch over the spiritual welfare of the church.

2. Teaching (i.e. Bible study, membership classes and SS)

3. Participate with the Elders in training leaders (i.e. associate pastor, youth leader, deacons)

4. Training related to evangelism, discipleship and the Biblical response to moral/ social concerns

Pastoral Care:

1. Counseling (marital, premarital, etc.)

2. Visitation (evangelism, homes, hospital, nursing homes)

3. Ministry to the bereaved

Administration: The minister is the point of contact for administration of the total church program, although many of the duties of administration are delegated to lay leadership. The minister shall assist officers, boards and committees with long/short term planning.

North Scott Baptist is an independent Baptist church in the rural community of Pardeeville, Wisconsin. The church has been in existence, by the Lord's grace since 1859. Originally founded in and by a farming community, it has gradually evolved to include a broader spectrum of members and regular attendees from a 40 mile radius and varying backgrounds, while still adhering to its rural roots. From the white-haired to infants, it values every age group. North Scott Baptist prioritizes the study of God's Word, congregational music and worship, missions and fellowship.
