Grace Life is a multi-ethnic, Christ-centered, gospel-driven church.
Multi-ethnic. Because Cypress is part of the larger Houston metro area, we reflect the diversity of our community. Many of our members are bilingual. It’s not uncommon to hear Spanish and even a couple other languages spoken in our lobby. We translate the second service message into Spanish (via headsets). Our membership consists of the following: 12% African-American, 10% Asian, 47% Anglo and 31% Latino. Christ-centered. We practice consecutive expository preaching, alternating between the Old & New Testaments, and believe that the ultimate aim of each passage is our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We desire our preaching and worship to be Christ-centered. Keeping our hearts and minds focused on Christ helps maintain the unity of the body that the gospel creates between believers. Gospel-driven. The gospel (not programs) drives our discipleship model of ministry. We use programs, but programs are only helpful to the extent that we are grounding believers into the Gospel.
What it’s like to live in Cypress: This suburban community, situated in the greater Houston area, offers a unique blend of urban convenience and small-town charm. Cypress is known for its diverse communities and neighborhoods, each offering a unique living experience. Grace Life reflects the diversity of our community. Additionally, Cypress is home to our highly regarded public schools, with the Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District (CFISD) being the largest school district in Texas. CFISD is known for its commitment to academic excellence and a wide range of extracurricular activities. If your spouse is looking for a job, the Cypress/Houston job market has experienced significant growth. Living in Cypress means you'll have plenty of opportunities to enjoy the outdoors through parks, trails, and recreational facilities.
