Minister of Music

Qualifications:

    A clear testimony of salvation through Jesus Christ.

    Doctrine aligning with SPBC and The Baptist Faith & Message

    Worships and honors God.

    Knows God, and falls down before Him spiritually.

    Loves Jesus.

    Welcomes the presence of the Holy Spirit.

    Has a heart to lead people in worship, not just lead a worship service.

    Humble.

Abilities:

    Skilled vocal ability.

    Ability to play an instrument.

    Ability to direct a choir.

    Has experience with the use of technology and able to learn presentation software.

Responsibilities:

    Lead the congregation in worship during the Sunday Morning Worship Service.

    Be responsible for selecting theologically and doctrinally appropriate songs for a blended worship service.

    Develop a weekly Order of Service for the bulletin. (Submit by Wednesday prior.)

    Enter the Order of Service presentation on Proclaim (Presentation software).

    Direct weekly rehearsals with the Choir and Praise Team.

    Develop a yearly budget within financial guidelines.

    Have open communication with the Sound Board crew.

    Work under the guidance and direction of the Pastor.

Compensation:

    Part time position of 10-15 hours per week.

    Pay will be a salaried position of $7,500 per year, divided into bi-monthly payments.
