Position Title: Worship Pastor

Classification: Pastoral Staff

Compensation: $45K-$60K Depending On Experience

Accountable to: Lead Pastor, Tim Sewalt

Life Community Church exists to tell our world about Life in Jesus, to Connect people to His calling and to be His Community.

Life Community Church began in 1972. Today, we're a thriving community made up of mostly millennial families and seeing new growth and change over the last few years. We are located in Dallas County, but located about 15-20 minute drive to downtown Dallas. Our church is diverse, with about 40% latinos making up our church body.

We are in search of a Worship Pastor who is passionate about the role that worship plays in discipling, edifying and encouraging God's people. Our ideal candidate will demonstrate skilled musicianship, strong communication skills, leadership experience, and vision to help people grow in their walk with Jesus. Starting pay will be based on skills and experience.

Qualifications Skills:

• Skilled in vocal and instrumental direction.

• Skilled in leading, teaching and encouraging congregations in worship.

• Skilled in the use of technology in worship, use of sound, lighting, computers, video projection, and other programs concerning music/worship needs

• Great relational skills, can take direction from authority, positive attitude flexibility

• Able to perform physical demands of the job, lifting, standing, sitting, carrying and moving

• Spirit of cooperation

• Willingness to “lend a hand” when needed

• Teachable spirit

• Shows respect for others’ roles

• Focuses on issues and finding solutions

• Exercises confidentiality

• Promotes positive relationships among staff

• Prior Ministerial Training/Education is a plus

• Actively participate in community and fellowship at Life Community Church.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as lead worshiper in ALL worship services for LCC.

• Help maintain all communication with volunteers and staff in regards to worship needs and expectations; rehearsals meetings.

• Plan all corporate worship services of LCC in consultation with the Lead Pastor and do so with theological accuracy.

• Ensure all the musical and technical aspects of the service advances the theme for the day.

• Oversee media preparation and presentation, sound lighting enhancements and coordinate all tracks to best fit service.

• Create goals for short and long term objectives; gaining experience in sound, lights, media production, music abilities writing songs; including trainings for new programs/software systems, tech/media advances.

• Provide pastoral care for the worship team members, volunteers and church members within scope of influence.

• Complete any necessary weekly administrative office tasks deemed necessary by Lead Pastor.

• Maintain flexibility cooperation with any organizational tasks as assigned for LCC projects. This includes but is not limited to: staff meetings; offering; special projects, etc.

• Maintain, update and organize all areas that fall under Worship ministry responsibility. This includes but is not limited to: researching new songs; maintaining youth and adult auditorium equipment; updating software; research media improvements and cleaning stage

We’re a church in the suburbs of Dallas. We’re only a 15 minute drive into downtown. We’ve been around for over 40 years, but continue to see new faces and lives changed. We’re looking for someone to grow with us.
