Lead Pastor

Shepherd Staff is honored to be working with New Era Church in Indianapolis, Indiana as they search for their next Lead Pastor. New Era is centered in the heart of downtown Indianapolis, it is a multicultural and multi-ethnic church that is exciting and inviting to all who come. They have a strong commitment to ministering to their community and everyone is treated as family when walking through the doors of this welcoming and inviting congregation.

Position Overview: The Lead Pastor at NEC is responsible for providing spiritual leadership, pastoral care, and administrative oversight to the congregation. He will preach, teach, counsel, and lead the church in fulfilling its mission to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ and serve the community.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Preaching and Teaching: Prepare and deliver biblically based sermons for Sunday services and other special occasions.

• Pastoral Care: Provide pastoral care and counseling to individuals and families within the congregation, including hospital visits, home visits, and crisis intervention.

• Leadership and Administration: Work collaboratively with the Leadership Team to develop and implement the church's vision, goals, and strategies.

• Outreach and Community Engagement: Lead and participate in outreach activities to engage the local community and attract new members to the church. Represent the church in local community events, interfaith activities, and denominational meetings.
