The Senior Pastor will provide spiritual, administrative, and visionary leadership for the church. He will serve as the primary preacher, oversee the pastoral care of the congregation, and ensure the church operates in alignment with biblical principles and the church’s mission. The Senior Pastor will be responsible for leading, feeding, protecting, and caring for the church body while fostering spiritual growth and discipleship.
Primary Responsibilities:
A. Lead
• Guide the spiritual life and direction of the church.
• Serve as the primary preacher for worship services.
• Lead the church in observing biblical ordinances.
• Direct and oversee evangelism efforts, encouraging outreach in the church and
the community.
B. Protect
• Ensure the church remains doctrinally sound and protected from external and
internal influences that may disrupt unity.
• Provide biblical guidance to maintain order, integrity, and accountability within the
church body.
C. Care
• Provide spiritual, emotional, and physical care for the congregation, including
visiting the sick and shut-ins.
• Offer pastoral counseling and guidance for individuals and families.
• Conduct marriages, funerals, and other special services as needed.
• Oversee the overall pastoral needs of the congregation.
• Demonstrate a passion for ministry and a commitment to nurturing the spiritual
growth of the church members.
D. Feed
• Teach and preach the Word of God, ensuring its relevance to today’s world.
• Help congregants apply biblical teachings to their lives.
• Dedicate time to personal study, prayer, and preparation for sermons and
teachings.
Qualifications & Skills:
• A deep, personal relationship with Jesus Christ, demonstrated through a life of
integrity and godliness.
• Strong biblical knowledge and ability to communicate Scripture effectively.
• Leadership skills to guide and unify the church.
• Pastoral experience with a heart for shepherding and discipleship. ]
• Ability to counsel, mentor, and support church members in their spiritual journey.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• A vision for church growth and community outreach.
