Overview:

The Executive Pastor, operating as an extension of the Senior Pastor, will share the vision and responsibilities to manage and direct the implementation of Classic City Church's vision and ministry plan. This includes coordinating all strategic planning, staffing of personnel, goal setting, and the formulation of operational policies and procedures. Partnering closely with the Senior Pastor, the Executive Pastor will provide visionary and authoritative leadership, ensuring the smooth operation and strategic direction of all church ministries and activities.


Key Responsibilities:

Implementing The Vision Of The Church:

  • Collaborate with the Senior Pastor on developing and implementing the church's vision, mission, and core values.
  • Strategic Planning & Execution: Lead the development and execution of strategic plans for all church ministries, ensuring alignment with the church's overall direction.
  • Developing, clarifying, and championing the mission, vision, and core values of Classic City
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee all church operations, including administration, communications, budget, facilities management, and staff development.
  • Process Improvement: Advocate for and execute the creation and implementation of efficient church processes and procedures for smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Event Management: Lead the planning and execution of church-wide events and family-oriented programs.


Staff Management:

  • Staff Management: Foster a healthy, engaged, and well-supported staff environment. This includes:
  • Providing Resources: Equip staff with necessary resources and professional development opportunities.
  • Staff Development: Plan and implement staff enrichment programs. Performance Management: Conduct regular staff evaluations and provide ongoing feedback.
  • Mentorship & Communication: Facilitate intergenerational mentorship within the team and ensure clear communication of decisions from leadership.
  • Conflict Resolution: Mediate inter-staff disagreements to maintain a harmonious working environment. Church Leadership Liaison:
  • Staff Liaison to Elders: Represent staff at Elder meetings, reporting on Deacon meetings and conveying pertinent information.
  • Communication Bridge: Maintain clear communication between staff, Senior Pastor, Elders, and Deacons. Administration:
  • Works with Senior Pastor, Ministry Directors, and Elders to develop operational policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for ministry, finances, facilities, administration, and operations of the church.
  • Ex-officio member of the Board of Elders and deacons without a vote.
  • Provide administrative support to the Elders. See that their notebook of meetings and minutes are kept accurate and that all policies are kept organized and available as needed.


Other Responsibilities

  • Assist Senior Pastor and Ministry Directors with pastoral care.
  • (Optional) - Participate in teaching and preaching as scheduled.


Hiring & Onboarding:

  • Partner with the Senior Pastor to recruit, interview, and onboard new staff members.
  • Ensure a smooth transition for new hires through effective onboarding processes and procedures.


Qualifications:

  • Strong faith commitment and a heart for ministry.
  • Proven leadership and administrative experience in a church or similar setting.
  • Excellent public and interpersonal communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strategic planning and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to delegate effectively and empower staff.
