Position Summary

We are seeking a Christ-centered, relational, and Spirit-led Youth Pastor to lead our youth ministry (grades 6–12). This leader will disciple students, partner with families, and build a team of adult volunteers to advance the Gospel in the next generation. The Youth Pastor will champion biblical teaching, meaningful relationships, and mission-minded outreach while integrating students into the life of the church.

Weekly Ministry Leadership

  • Provide visionary leadership and oversight of the youth ministry in line with the overall vision of MBC.
  • Plan and lead weekly youth gatherings that include worship, teaching, and fellowship.
  • Preach and teach the Bible in a clear, gospel-centered, age-appropriate way.
  • Create a relational ministry that fosters discipleship and spiritual growth.
  • Equip and lead adult volunteers, student leaders, and ministry teams.
  • Partner with parents as primary disciple-makers of their students.
  • Organize and lead retreats, camps, mission trips, and special events.
  • Engage local schools and community as a representative of Christ and the church.
  • Collaborate with pastoral staff and participate in church-wide efforts and worship.
  • Maintain a ministry that is aligned with the doctrine, values, and vision of Mansfield Baptist Church.

Volunteer Leader

  • Recruit, train, equip, and care for a team of adult leaders who serve in student ministry.
  • Provide regular communication and encouragement to all student ministry volunteers.

Parent & Family Partnership

  • Proactively communicate with parents and partner with them in the discipleship of their teenagers.
  • Provide tools, events, and environments to help parents lead their families spiritually.

Special Events & Mission Opportunities

  • Plan and lead key student ministry events including retreats, camps, mission trips, and outreach opportunities.
  • Assist in planning and executing church-wide events in partnership with church staff.

Church Leadership & Staff Collaboration

  • Serve as a part of the pastoral team at Mansfield Baptist Church, attending staff meetings and contributing to the overall vision of the church.
  • Assist in vision casting, planning, and implementing church-wide discipleship strategies.
  • Lead interns as needed based on ministry growth and size.

Key Ministry Environments

  • Wednesday Nights – Large group worship, teaching, and small group connection.
  • Sunday Mornings – Middle and High small groups, serving opportunities
  • Special Events – Camps, retreats, mission trips, student serve days, and outreach events.
  • Local Schools – Relationship-building through student presence and community involvement.

Qualifications

  • A clear testimony of salvation and a call to ministry.
  • Growing and active relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Agreement with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.
  • Strong alignment with the mission and culture of Mansfield Baptist Church.

Compensation

  • This is a full-time salaried position with competitive compensation as well as a house included in the package.
