Job Description:
Union Ridge Church is well established with a rich history spanning over 210 years. We are located in a rural setting approximately 10 miles from Burlington and 30 miles from Greensboro. Our current pastor is retiring after 17 years of dedicated service. Union Ridge Church is non-denominational and inclusive to all who seek GOD’s guidance and growth of our Christian faith. We have a membership of approximately 300 people with an average Sunday attendance of 140. We have members from various backgrounds, but we come together to serve one common purpose in glorifying GOD.
The ideal candidate will be the spiritual leader of the church. Pastor will be welcoming, inspiring, and supportive of families from diverse backgrounds. Responsibilities will include but not limited to: preparing and delivering sermons based on biblical principles, officiating at special occasions such as weddings, baptisms and funerals, actively engaged in our children’s programs, provide personal pastoral care for those in critical need, work closely with the Deacon Board to identify the needs of the church, strong leadership skills, open to a mix of traditional and contemporary music, and has unwavering love and commitment to the Lord.
Qualifications:
Three years of experience as Senior Pastor or comparable religious leadership.
Seminary graduate is highly preferred.
Ability to teach the word of GOD in a manner that all can understand.
