Concord Community Church is a small, independent congregation based in Patriot, Indiana. We exist to teach and live Biblical truths and be a place of unwavering commitment to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We seek to reach the unchurched and to disciple believers to become thriving followers of Jesus.

We currently are seeking applicants for the position of Senior Pastor.

Senior Pastor Job Description

Principal Functions

Provide spiritual leadership, biblical guidance, and pastoral care to the congregation. To be an example of the believer in word and deed.

Create and deliver biblically-based weekly sermons during worship services, as well as on special occasions and events.

Provide pastoral care for members of the congregation, including visiting the sick, counseling those in need, and offering support during times of crisis.

Perform various other pastoral duties, including weddings, funerals, baptisms, and dedications, as required.

Principal Qualifications

Be a confessing, saved believer.

Meet the Biblical qualifications set forth in 1 Timothy 3:1-7, and Titus 1:5-9.

Hold to the authority, inspiration, and inerrancy of Scripture.

Agree to live within the parameters of our Church Covenant.

Be a member in good standing with a recognized Christian denomination, and provide favorable references from church leadership.

Have demonstrated church leadership and pulpit experience.

Willingness to undergo a background check.

Your current resume, detailing your education, experience, and accomplishments.

A statement of faith, describing your personal faith journey and theological beliefs.

A link to, or recording of a recent sermon or teaching. If one is not available, an otherwise qualified candidate may be afforded the opportunity to deliver a message in person.

Thank you for your interest. While current church budgetary considerations preclude the full compensation of a traditional full-time pastor, this role does come with a great deal of pastoral latitude, and church leadership is willing to work with individual applicants on salary vs. work requirements to establish conditions favorable to both the candidate and the church.
