Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Communications Director to lead and oversee all aspects of church communication. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in both creative and administrative environments—someone who can develop and maintain effective communication systems, manage multiple projects, and help tell the story of what God is doing at New Life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement systems to ensure timely and accurate distribution of information across all communication channels
- Manage and track multiple projects from planning to completion with clarity and excellence
- Collaborate with church leadership and ministry teams to plan, schedule, and execute internal and external communications
- Maintain and update the church website, email newsletters, and weekly announcements
- Oversee or support social media strategy and execution across platforms
- Coordinate Sunday service visuals and announcements
- Serve as a hub for all design, print, and communication needs from other ministry departments
- Optional (but a plus): create basic graphics, short videos, or promotional content
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Experience in creating systems and workflows for communication
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable with technology and tools for communication (e.g., project management platforms, email marketing software, etc.)
- Experience with social media strategy and management is a plus
- Basic design or video editing skills are a bonus
- Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication, Marketing, Creative Management, or related field preferred—or equivalent experience in a similar role
