Lead Pastor

First Baptist Church of Sonoma, CA is seeking its next faithful Pastor. We are a historic church positioned in the heart of Sonoma, CA. Sonoma is a beautiful city of about 11,000 residents, located one hour north of San Francisco. We are a smaller church in the midst of revitalization, but the Lord has blessed us financially to be able to provide for our next Pastor and his family.

First Baptist Church of Sonoma currently needs a man-of-God to Pastor our Lord's devoted flock in the following ways:

1) Exposit God's word: Pastor will be teaching the whole counsel of God, and adhering to the Doctrines of Grace

2) Seasoned in ministry to the body: Pastor will be wise, willing, and able to train men in the church to be loving leaders of their wives and children. Pastor will exercise his ability to train men to manage to the Word of God in leadership capacities. Pastor will be committed to the shepherding ministry of the flock. Being relationally competent, he will be eager to engage in biblical counseling with those in need within our body.

3) Encouraging outreach into our Community: Pastor understands the special call to the lost in the liberal, intellectual, and post-modern culture of Sonoma / Napa valley region and will have a heart for them to come to Jesus. Pastor will creatively and strategically mobilize our church building and other resources to reach out and invite the surrounding community to both hear and experience God's love for them.
