Worship Leader

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Christ-centered, musically gifted, and Spirit-led Part-Time Worship Leader to oversee and lead our Sunday morning worship services. This person will also help identify and develop new musicians and vocalists within our congregation to build a sustainable worship ministry that supports our mission and values.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, lead, and coordinate Sunday morning worship services in collaboration with the Lead Pastor.

• Select music that aligns with Scripture and complements the sermon text/theme.

• Schedule and rehearse with musicians and vocalists as needed.

• Develop and mentor new worship team members, especially from within the church body.

• Ensure sound equipment and slides (lyrics/charts) are ready for Sunday service.

• Attend staff meetings (as needed) and contribute to the overall ministry vision.

Qualifications:

• A growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ and commitment to the authority of Scripture.

• Agreement with the beliefs and practices of LifeHouse Church’s doctrinal statement.

• Musical proficiency (vocals and at least one instrument, ideally guitar or piano).

• Experience leading congregational worship (paid or volunteer).

• Humble, teachable spirit and a team-oriented mindset.

• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Preferred but not required:

• Experience with Planning Center, ProPresenter, or similar worship planning tools.

• Previous experience in a church plant or small church context is a plus but not required.

LifeHouse Salem County is a new Southern Baptist (SBC) church with a mission to glorify God by making disciples who know Christ, grow in Christ, and go for Christ. As a young and growing church, we are passionate about biblical teaching, gospel-centered community, and meaningful worship.

We began as a church plant in November 2020 and have seen God do amazing things through this body of believers. We have a heart to reach the lost, the marginalized, and the hurting of Pennsville and surrounding Salem County. Our mission is simple: Make Jesus Famous!
