About Elevate Church
Elevate Church is a thriving non-denominational church in Santa Clarita, CA, just north of Los Angeles. Our passion and mission is helping people connect with God in a real way. Rooted in Biblical truth, we are committed to teaching God’s Word with clarity and conviction.
Every Sunday, over 500 people gather across three services to worship together, including 50–100 children from newborn through 5th grade. We believe reaching and discipling the next generation is one of the church’s highest callings. That’s why we continually invest in creating engaging, Christ-centered environments where kids can experience God’s love, grow in their faith, and have fun while doing it.
As both our church and community continue to grow, we are seeking a passionate, experienced Children’s Director to lead our Elevate Kids Ministry into its next season of impact.
Responsibilities
- Provide vision, leadership, and oversight for all Elevate Kids programming (birth–5th grade), ensuring excellence and alignment with our church’s mission and values.
- Recruit, train, disciple, and schedule a volunteer team of 70+ each week.
- Plan and lead major children’s ministry events (e.g., VBS, seasonal outreaches, camps, family events).
- Partner with parents through pastoral care, parenting guidance, baptism/faith conversations, and ongoing encouragement.
- Create safe, welcoming, and engaging spaces for children to grow spiritually, socially, and emotionally.
- Develop and implement Christ-centered curriculum that aligns with Elevate’s theological convictions.
- Collaborate with church staff to ensure unity and support of church-wide vision and events.
- Oversee ministry budget, resources, and facilities for optimal stewardship and impact.
Qualifications
- Must have proven experience leading a large volunteer team (70+ people) in a church or ministry setting.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to inspire, equip, and care for volunteers and families.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced ministry environment.
- Agreement with Elevate Church’s core beliefs and statement of faith.

- Live out and uphold Elevate Church’s mission, core values, and vision by regularly attending weekly services, engaging in the life of our church family, and modeling moral and ethical integrity in both personal and professional conduct.
Education and/or Experience
- Preferred, but notDegree in ministry, education, or related field from an accredited Christian college/university.
- Significant leadership experience in children’s ministry, including large-scale volunteer and event management.
