ASSOCIATE PASTOR IN MUSIC/ADMINISTRATION
Overview:
Hollywood Baptist Church, a growing rural Southern Baptist congregation (avg. 220 in Sunday worship), seeks a full-time Associate Pastor of Music/Administration to support the Senior Pastor in ministry and administration. This role combines music leadership, administrative oversight, and general pastoral responsibilities, including occasional preaching and visitation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Music Ministry Leadership
- Lead and organize all church music activities, including:
- Congregational singing
- Special music coordination for services and events
- Children and youth music programs
- Music planning for weddings, funerals, revivals, and other events
- Oversee music volunteers, sound/media staff, and maintain the music library
- Manage Music Ministry budget and ensure CCLI compliance
2. Administrative Oversight
- Support Senior Pastor with administrative tasks as assigned
- Participate in planning meetings (e.g., Church Council, Leadership Team)
- Ensure effective communication and coordination of ministry programs
3. Pastoral Support
- Assist with preaching, especially in the Senior Pastor’s absence
- Help with visitation and other ministerial needs
- Engage in personal evangelism and discipleship
- Be spiritually accountable and model godly leadership
Qualifications:
- Ordained minister aligned with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000
- Strong spiritual life and prayer habits
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Skilled in music leadership and service planning technology
- Willing to live near the church and become a member within 30 days
Additional Expectations:
- Weekly planning and prayer meetings with the Senior Pastor
- Attend ministry-related seminars as approved
- Support church ministries financially and through active participation
- Lead family spiritually and maintain a godly personal life
