Job Summary: A Calling, Not Just a Career

At Vine & Branch Fellowship, we believe discipleship is the heartbeat of the Church—not a class or course, but a way of life. As Discipleship Pastor, you won’t just manage ministries—you’ll shepherd people into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. Your mission: lead and implement our churchwide discipleship path to help people abide in Christ, belong to His body, grow in His Word, and multiply their lives for His glory (John 15:5).


1. ABIDE – Connecting People Personally to Jesus

  • Lead efforts that promote Bible reading, prayer, and spiritual discipline
  • Equip new believers and develop disciple-makers

2. BELONG – Overseeing Groups Ministry

  • Lead men’s, women’s, home groups, and topical studies
  • Train and support leaders to foster authenticity, accountability, and biblical discussion

3. GROW – Building Biblical Knowledge and Godly Character

  • Launch Bible studies and classes for theological and spiritual growth
  • Promote cultural discernment and apologetics
  • Develop future teachers and mentors

4. MULTIPLY – Empowering People to Serve and Lead

  • Oversee “New to Vine & Branch” assimilation
  • Walk people through our discipleship path into service and leadership
  • Provide mentoring and training for emerging leaders
  • Encourage whole-life discipleship in homes, workplaces, and the community


Key Result Areas (KRAs)

  • Groups Engagement: 65% of Sunday attendance active in a group
  • Leader Development: 25% annual growth in trained group leaders
  • Newcomer Integration: Clear process to walk newcomers through discipleship path
  • Disciple Multiplication: Track growth in the number of disciple-makers
  • Leadership Mentoring: Support a mentorship culture in partnership with the Servant Pastor

About Vine & Branch Fellowship

At Vine & Branch Fellowship, we are a body of believers who take seriously Jesus’ words in John 15:5: “I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.”
