CHURCH MUSIC LEADER: Part Time Pianist Gospel Choir Director

The purpose of the position of Music Leader is to lead, accompany, and direct the Gospel choir and provide musical leadership during the worship service by:

• Playing each Sunday for worship

• Leading, accompanying, and directing the 10-15 member Gospel Choir to sing two times a month, usually on the 2nd and 4th Sundays

• Rehearsing every Thursday (or alternate day, as agreed to with the choir)

• Selecting gospel music for choir which is appropriate for our mission as a congregation

• Preparing for rehearsals and worship services (hymns liturgy) with volunteer church musicians

• Playing for special services (with additional compensation) which may include: Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Christmas Eve

Rate of pay is $250 per typical week, for 5-7 hours per week (including prep time, rehearsal, and 11am Sunday worship).
