This is a rare opportunity to help build something meaningful from the ground up. Highline’s youth ministry is small but full of potential, and we are prayerfully seeking the right person—or couple—to shape the next chapter of our student ministry.

You’ll have the freedom to lead relationally, invest deeply in students, and grow a ministry in a healthy, gospel-centered way—while serving alongside a fun, supportive, and collaborative staff team. As the ministry grows, this role has the potential to grow with it, including the possibility of becoming full-time.

About the Role:

Highline Community Church is seeking a Part-Time Youth Pastor to lead and grow our youth ministry during an exciting season of transition and opportunity.

This role will shepherd a small but growing group of students (currently about 10, mostly middle school), helping them grow in faith, community, and a lifelong commitment to following Jesus. We are looking for someone who loves Jesus deeply, genuinely loves students, and is excited about building something meaningful with them.

This is a paid, part-time position (10–20 hours/week, depending on availability) with the potential to grow into a full-time role as the ministry grows.

We are open to either an individual or a couple who sense a shared calling to youth ministry and to walking with students and families in this season.

Who We’re Looking For:

We are praying for a leader (or couple) who:

• Has a mature and growing faith in Jesus Christ
• Loves building authentic relationships with students and families
• Has some youth ministry or leadership experience (volunteer or paid)
• Is excited to help grow a healthy, gospel-centered youth ministry
• Is comfortable meeting students where they are—attending games, concerts, school lunches, and other relational touchpoints as appropriate
• Works well with a fun, supportive, collegial, and collaborative staff team

This role could be a great fit for a mature college or seminary student, young professional, stay-at-home parent, or someone working full-time who still feels called and has capacity to invest in youth ministry.

Key Responsibilities

• Build Christ-centered relationships with students and parents
• Lead weekly youth gatherings (teaching, discussion, prayer, games, worship)
• Provide discipleship and pastoral care through mentoring and small groups
• Reach out relationally to invite and include new students
• Attend games, concerts, or school lunches as opportunities allow
• Recruit and support volunteer leaders as the ministry grows
• Partner with church staff and families to integrate students into the life of the church
• Plan occasional events, service projects, and retreats

Compensation & Schedule

• Paid, part-time (10–20 hours/week, based on availability)
• Flexible schedule, including Sundays and a midweek gathering
• Potential to grow into a full-time role as the ministry expands
