Youth Director/Associate Pastor: Grace Fellowship Church (Avon, IN)
About us:
Grace Fellowship Church is a non-denominational church, that exists to help people know Christ and make Him known to those around us. We are looking for a youth minister that would be involved in teaching and training the youth of our church to know what and why they believe, and help them become adults who continue to walk by faith with the Lord. A youth leader who can help them explore their faith, build meaningful relationships, and develop a strong Christian foundation.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a full-time Youth Minster to lead and oversee our youth ministry. This individual will primarily focus on Jr. and Sr. High programs (grades 7-12), with coordination of teachers and curriculum for 1st-6th grade Sunday School. The Youth Minster will be a key player in developing and implementing faith-centered activities and programs that inspire and guide our youth
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Weekly Youth Services
-conduct youth group meetings weekly on Sundays throughout the year
-foster discipleship and meaningful connections among youth
Organize and Oversee Activities
-plan and execute community service projects, fun outings, regular youth events throughout the calendar, spread out month to month
-be part of planning an annual mission trip (local or overseas)
-maintain regular social media and promotional communication for events
Event Management
-help with planning and preparing for all church annual events with other staff (leadership retreat, barn bash, retreats, holiday events or services)
Budget and Facilities Management
-prepare and manage the youth ministry budget
-oversee the creative use and maintenance of youth room, playground etc.
Engage with Students and Parents
-partner with parents to support their role in youth development
-mentor and guide teens, fostering a supportive and nurturing environment
Additional Duties
-Assisting with the leadership team and staff duties as needed
-Attend a once-a-week pastors lunch/meeting
-Attend a once-a-month leadership meeting with Deacons and Elders
-Contribute to other areas of church life and ministry as required
Qualifications:
Required
-must be a believer in Jesus Christ
-must uphold the Bible as the inerrant and inspired Word of God
-Demonstrate a strong moral character and commitment to spiritual disciplines
-possess effective Bible-based teaching skills
-maintain trust and strong relationships with church leadership and staff
Preferred
-bachelor’s degree or higher in Biblical and Theological Studies or a related field, willing to pursue more education if needed
-prefer someone who is married
-someone who can play an instrument like piano or guitar and would be willing to fill a worship leader role within the church (not required)
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary: $60,000 annually
Cell Phone stipend: $65 month
Professional Development: budget for retreats, conferences
