POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT 

Pastor of Student Ministries 

Community Bible Church • Omaha, Nebraska 


The Opportunity 

Community Bible Church is seeking a Pastor for Student Ministries who is committed to Christ and called to invest in the next generation. This is a full-time ministry role for someone who is passionate about seeing junior high and senior high students come to know Jesus intimately, grow in their faith, and share Jesus lovingly.  


Role Overview 

The Pastor for Student Ministries will lead and develop all programming for junior high and senior high students. He will cast vision, build teams, and partner with families to cultivate a student ministry culture where young people are welcomed, challenged, and equipped. 

Key responsibilities include: 

  1. Teach and disciple students with clarity, creativity, and gospel conviction in both large group and one-on-one settings. 
  2. Recruit, train, and lead a volunteer team committed to meaningful relationships with students. 
  3. Partner with parents in discipling their youth. 
  4. Plan and execute a thoughtful calendar of regular and special programming throughout the year. 
  5. Build relational bridges with both active students and those on the periphery of church involvement. 
  6. Collaborate with church staff and contribute to the broader life and ministry of CBC. 

Ideal Candidate 

We are looking for a man who leads from a place of personal faith and genuine love for students. The ideal candidate will be relationally gifted — someone whose authenticity and warmth draw in students of all backgrounds. He will also demonstrate the organizational discipline to build sustainable programs and develop others for ministry. 

Priority will be given to candidates who: 

  1. Have direct experience overseeing a church student ministry and volunteer team 
  2. Demonstrate a long-term commitment to student ministry as a vocational calling 
  3. Hold a bachelor’s degree or higher in ministry, theology, or a related field  

Compensation 

Salary is commensurate with the candidate’s education and experience. Base salary $55k-70k. A full compensation package will be discussed with finalists.

Community Bible Church is a growing, gospel-centered congregation located in the heart of southwest Omaha. We offer two Sunday morning worship services with an average attendance of 520. Our senior pastor, a Dallas Theological Seminary graduate, has provided consistent and faithful leadership for over 35 years. CBC is an independent, nondenominational church.
