The Senior Pastor is responsible for the overall leadership and direction of the church, the church staff, and the church council. The Senior Pastor will assist all council coordinators in identifying and fulfilling their respective duties for the accomplishment of the mission and vision of the church. The Senior Pastor’s pastoral duties include responsibilities in the areas of worship, outreach, discipleship, stewardship, family ministries, and Good Shepherd Christian Academy, as well as the pastoral care duties specific to a pastor. The Senior Pastor’s administrative duties include administration, human resources, finance, and strategic planning.
We are looking for a man with a minimum of a Bible college degree with 5-10 years of experience. A M.Div., M.A. in Theology or Ministry, or a doctorate is highly preferred

He meets the pastor qualifications listed in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9.
He should have a strong spiritual and moral character, effective preaching skills,
Biblical doctrine, and is scripturally grounded through personal study and faith.
He possesses an empathetic and humble demeanor.
He can relate to and engage well with a diverse group of individuals comprised
of both believers and non-believers.
He is willing to initiate and engage with people in our church and community.
He is a religious leader who adheres to traditional Christian doctrines,
emphasizing biblical inerrancy, believing the Bible is the infallible word of God,
and focuses on historical orthodoxy, such as the virgin birth and the resurrection
of Jesus. He upholds traditional moral views on marriage and gender roles.
He can preach on hard topics and can challenge us.
He is family and community oriented.
He should have a commitment to the church and its congregation, and their
spiritual and physical growth.
Salary: $75,000 - $100,000+ (total package)
The First Baptist Church of Greensburg was established in 1841 in Decatur County in Southeastern Indiana. We are located at 209 W Washington St. in Greensburg, Indiana.
