Senior Pastor

ANNOUCEMENT:

Star Hill Baptist Church, located at 1400 North Foster Drive, Baton Rouge, LA 70806 is prayerfully seeking a full-time pastor, who is called by God and equipped to effectively preach and teach the word God. This person must possess:

Excellent leadership abilities;

Strong organizational, critical and analytical thinking skills;

Emotional intelligence, and the

Ability to foster relationships with members of the church as well as the community.

DESCRIPITON:

The pastor is responsible to the church for providing spiritual, educational, administrative leadership and outreach. The pastor will use his/her skills in proclamation, motivation and pastoral care to meet the needs of people in the church and the community for which the church is responsible.

ATTRIBUTES:

A Godly leader and teacher who encourages members to seek biblical truths.

An effective oral and written communicator.

A skilled counselor available to assist members with personal and spiritual concerns.

A leader with a God given vision and a well-developed vision for the future of the church.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITES:

Plan and lead worship that inspires and challenges attendees to apply biblical teachings to their daily lives.

Establish and maintain strong working relationships with all ministry leaders.

Maintain a consistent study and prayer life.

Demonstrate a lifestyle committed to Christ through choices and practices.

Teach weekly Bible Study and collaborate with the Sunday School facilitators.
