1. Educational Program
a. Develop and maintain a wholistic disciple formation program for children birth through fifth grade, implementing quality educational biblical teaching, and creating dynamic, fun fellowship.
b. Develop and maintain online ministry components for children and families, producing quality biblical educational and fellowship materials for families at home.
c. Plan and lead special events.
d. Plan and lead a summer ministry initiative (i.e., camp, special events, etc.).
e. Sundays: Staff arrive at 8:00 am. Be sure to greet families, check all children in, print a name tag, and only release them to parents/guardians who have been preapproved.
2. Children’s Ministry Assistants
a. Schedule, train and communicate regularly with children’s ministry employees.
b. Oversee, equip and utilize the assistants on Sunday mornings.
c. Call and schedule the assistants as needed for special events.
3. Volunteers
a. Recruit and train volunteers to support the children’s ministries.
b. Schedule volunteers to adequately meet the ministry needs for children.
c. Oversee the safety of children through background checks of volunteers who work with anyone under the age of 18.
d. Ensure all volunteers working with young people have been Safe Sanctuary trained.
e. Sundays: Volunteers arrive by 9:15 am.
4. Administration
a. Administer and record volunteer background checks.
b. Maintain a file with signed Safe Sanctuary documents for all volunteers.
c. Participate in weekly staff meetings.
d. Participate in a weekly collaboration meeting with the pastor(s).
e. Work with the Office Administrator to maintain financial records related to areas of ministry listed above.
f. Work with the Office Administrator to utilize the church management database (Breeze).
5. Other duties as assigned by the pastor.
