TITLE: Associate Pastor over Family Life/Outreach
3/8/2021
REPORTS TO: Senior Pastor
PURPOSE: To provide leadership, oversight, and coordination of the college and career, student, children, and outreach ministries of New Life Community Church.
TYPE OF POSITION: Full-Time/Salary
SALARY RANGE: Compensation and benefits package to be determined by the Elder Board
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
NEW LIFE Families
· Provide help and counseling to families seeking such
· Organize a marriage seminar get away or someone to come in to put on a seminar
· Be the contact staff person for all family relationship issues
NEW LIFE College and Career
· Give oversight to the College and Career ministry
· Meet regularly with the C&C leaders
NEW LIFE STUDENTS (NLS)
· Build a relational student ministry team
· Recruit, train, equip, and empower adult volunteers and student leaders so they are operating in their strengths and being most effective in their roles on the NLS team
· Oversee and lead weekly student worship experience, including preparing and delivering the message
· Actively participate in social media on a regular basis for students and parents to stay connected
· Actively follow up with visiting students
· Organize and lead all student events, activities, and conferences
· Organize a team to take students to a youth camp during summer break
· Connect with Brown County High School to encourage local students to participate in NLS Ministry
NEW LIFE KIDS (NLK)
· Work with the Children’s Pastor (CP) concerning all operations and structure of NLK, ensuring the success of the Sunday/Wednesday experience
· Oversee annual NLK Christmas Program and VBS or optional community event
· Help CP recruit, train, equip, and empower volunteers to operate in their strengths and area of effectiveness
· Oversee ministry to the families and aid in connecting what happens at New Life with what happens at home
· Help CP organize a team to lead all children events, activities, and conferences
· Help CP create a volunteer schedule, as well as delegate role responsibilities
· Assist the CP in the selection of all NLK curriculum
OUTREACH / Missions
· Oversee team development, training team members, organization, implementation and logistics of outreach efforts.
· Develop a discipleship ministry for our new believers
· Create a team of volunteers who can come to the aid of those who may be overwhelmed or in need
· Coordinate outreach ministries through local fairs, parades, Mother’s Cupboard, Health and Living facility, etc.
