Our Church

Southside Baptist has experienced significant revitalization and renewed growth in recent years. We are excited about what God is doing and are seeking a Worship Pastor who desires to help lead the next chapter of growth and disciple-making in our church.

Our mission is simple: Love God and Others. Grow in Faith. Go Make Disciples. Everything we do is centered on helping people take their next step in following Christ and making disciples.

Our worship is contemporary in style while intentionally engaging multiple generations in a unified worship experience. With an average weekly attendance of approximately 350 and growing, our services are led by a band-driven worship team and supported by a worship choir that encourages and strengthens congregational participation. We are committed to worship that is biblically grounded, Spirit-led, and accessible to all generations, creating an environment where people can genuinely engage with God and respond to His Word.

Our Worship Pastor 

We desire to worship God in both Spirit and Truth. The Worship Pastor will cultivate a vibrant and Christ-centered culture of worship that leads people into a deeper understanding and practice of authentic biblical worship. We are seeking a man who is living for the Kingdom of God, committed to making disciples, and eager to build a worship ministry that impacts generations for Christ.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and plan Gospel-centered weekend worship services that encourage authentic congregational worship and align with the teaching ministry of the church.
• Recruit, disciple, and develop worship team members, musicians, vocalists, and production volunteers.
• Build and maintain sustainable systems for volunteer recruitment, training, scheduling, and leadership development.
• Collaborate closely with the Senior Pastor and staff team to support the overall mission, vision, and ministry objectives of Southside Baptist Church.
• Lead the planning and execution of special services and events, including Christmas, Easter, Night of Worship gatherings, and other seasonal ministry opportunities.
• Provide leadership and oversight for worship, choir, band, audio/visual, production, and livestream ministries.
• Support and develop children's and student worship ministries while helping identify and mentor the next generation of worship leaders.
• Ensure all worship ministries operate with excellence, organization, and a commitment to spiritual health and discipleship.

Key Qualifications

• Meets the biblical male qualifications for pastoral leadership as outlined in 1 Tim 3:1–7 and Titus 1:5–9.
• Holds to a doctrinal position consistent with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.
• Competence in vocal and instrumental music.
• Exhibits an engaging and authentic stage presence that encourages congregational participation.
• Prioritizes discipleship, leadership development, and volunteer engagement.
• Proven ability to recruit, train, and shepherd musicians, vocalists, production teams, a worship choir, and volunteers.
• Ability to lead contemporary congregational worship within a multigenerational church context.
• Supports and champions the overall mission, vision, and values of Southside.
• Possesses organizational and administrative abilities necessary to lead a growing worship ministry.
• Has experience planning and coordinating worship services in collaboration with pastoral staff.
• Demonstrates a heart for developing the next generation through student and children's worship ministries.
• Has experience with modern worship technology, including ProPresenter, sound, lighting, livestream, and video systems.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• Seminary-level theological training preferred.

We are just minutes from historic downtown Savannah, twenty minutes from the shores of Tybee Island, one hour from Hilton Head, South Carolina, and less than two hours from the beautiful beaches of Florida. We are twenty minutes from beautiful Tybee Beach, one hour from Hilton Head, SC, and two hours from Jacksonville, FL.
