Full-Time Director of Worship and Creative Arts

Full-Time | 40–50 Hours Per Week

Salary Range: $60,000–$80,000 annually (depending on experience and qualifications) + Benefits

 

The Director of Worship and Creative Arts is responsible for leading the congregation in, and managing all aspects of, musical worship to God and exalting Jesus in our corporate worship gatherings. This includes planning, scheduling, and executing the musical aspects of Sunday services and special events.  This individual will direct worship for youth gatherings while investing in volunteers and developing the next generation of musicians and worship leaders. All applicants must agree with Redwood Chapel’s statements of faith.



Qualifications and Requirements:

The Director must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as evidenced in a lifestyle which honors God and exhibits the fruit of the Spirit as found in Galatians 5:22-23. The Director will be expected to joyfully Director to the congregation and be in a covenant relationship with other members of the Staff.  

The Director will be a member in good standing of Redwood Chapel, and will be subject to the covenant and responsibilities of membership with all members of the church family. The Director will be a team player who demonstrates an “All In” spirit with other members of the team. 


The Director shall be wise and discerning, demonstrating the ability to motivate oneself and manage time well. The Director must maintain cleanliness and neatness in both personal appearance and work environment. The Director should be a person committed to prayer and dedicated the Word to help in guarding from sin and stirring up their heart and mind with a renewed passion for Christ. The Director shall be a leader, encourager, trainer, collaborator, problem solver and peacemaker, and have an attitude of ownership and responsibility that is conveyed to others.


The Director must be trustworthy of confidence, treating all records and office activities as strictly confidential. The Director must be flexible in work assignments, capable of multi-tasking, and able to work under pressure to accomplish the assigned tasks. The Director must demonstrate proficiency in leading a multi-faceted worship and music ministry in the church. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in music and prior experience leading worship for a multi-generational mid-size church is preferred. The Director should demonstrate the highest levels of personal and professional integrity and lead the staff in pursuit of that standard.. The Director should demonstrate the highest levels of personal and professional integrity and lead the staff in pursuit of that standard.


The Director plays a vital part in carrying out Redwood Chapel’s mission as he helps to lead people to faith in Jesus Christ, to faithfully administer God’s grace in various forms, to encourage others to grow in Christ, and to serve our community in every possible Christian way. 1 Cor. 12:22; Eph. 4:13; 1 Peter 4:10.
