Lead Kid's Pastor

One Sentence Job Description:  Plant seeds in children so they will find and follow Jesus

Qualifications:

·        Minimum of 4 years of full-time ministry experience (preferably in a church of 1,000+ and/or multi-site environment)

·        A growing, vibrant personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a deep love of God’s Word

·        A proven track record of building, leading, and multiplying teams

·        A humble, collaborative leadership style with strong communication and relational skills

·        Seminary degree preferred, but not required

Responsibilities:

Vision & Strategy

·        Champion the mission and long-term vision of Parkway’s Kids Ministry, ensuring every program, event, and environment helps kids find and follow Jesus

·        Translate vision into clear strategy, goals, and execution across all locations

Leadership & Development

·        Lead, coach, and develop Kids Ministry staff and key leaders

·        Build a culture defined by spiritual depth, excellence, joy, and creativity

Team Building

·        Recruit, train, and empower volunteers who love kids and love Jesus

·        Create clear on-ramps, leadership pathways, and a culture where volunteers thrive

Next-Gen Alignment

·        Partner closely with Student Ministry to ensure a cohesive discipleship pathway from preschool through graduation

Innovation & Programming

·        Oversee engaging, age-appropriate curriculum and environments that help faith come alive

·        Inspire and encourage creativity while maintaining Biblical clarity and consistency

Systems & Growth

·        Implement scalable systems for guest assimilation, new believer follow-up, parent partnership, and leadership pipelines as the ministry expands

Global Oversight & Collaboration

·        Provide directional leadership for Kids Ministry at the main location

·        Collaborate closely with Kids Pastors at other Parkway locations

·        Work alongside the Senior Pastor and executive team to align Kids Ministry goals with Parkway’s overall mission and growth strategy
