The Youth Director is responsible for leading, developing, and overseeing the church's youth ministry for middle school and high school students. This role focuses on helping young people grow in their faith, build meaningful relationships, and become active disciples through biblical teaching, mentorship, outreach, and engaging programs. The Youth Director works closely with church staff, volunteers, parents, and community partners to create a safe, welcoming, and spiritually enriching environment for youth.
Key Responsibilities
Ministry Leadership
- Develop and implement a comprehensive vision and strategy for the youth ministry.
- Plan and lead weekly youth services, Bible studies, small groups, and discipleship programs.
- Organize retreats, camps, conferences, mission trips, outreach events, and recreational activities.
- Encourage youth participation in worship, service, and leadership opportunities within the church.
Student Engagement
- Build positive, Christ-centered relationships with youth.
- Provide spiritual guidance, mentoring, and pastoral care.
- Foster an inclusive, welcoming environment where every young person feels valued and supported.
Volunteer Leadership
- Recruit, train, supervise, and encourage volunteer youth leaders.
- Schedule volunteers and delegate responsibilities effectively.
