Rural Baptist Church Seeks Full-Time Pastor

Sunnyside Baptist Church in North Rose, New York is an independent, conservative Baptist church searching for a new full-time pastor as our previous pastor of 22 years has retired. Ministry responsibilities include teaching Sunday School, and all scheduled weekly services.  Also responsible for oversite of visitation ministry.

We hold to the traditional doctrines of Christian belief as delineated in the Bible, which forms the basis for our faith and practice. We can provide a full church constitution and detailed job description upon request.

The church has been ministering in the area since the 1930s. Our congregation includes babies through senior saints and both longstanding members and visitors curious about God. We want visitors to feel comfortable and loved, as this is a place where everyone is welcome. Currently, we hold Sunday school for all ages, a morning worship service, weekly dish-to-pass fellowship, Sunday afternoon service and Wednesday evening prayer meeting. We use a traditional hymnal of classic hymns of Christian faith, accompanied by piano.

In addition to the sanctuary, the church building includes a gym, full kitchen, fellowship hall, nursery, elevator and Sunday school rooms. The church also has a parking lot, an athletic field and small playground.

Although we are a small congregation of about 35 regular attenders/members, we can provide a full-time salary, benefits, retirement package and adjacent four-bedroom parsonage, which we have recently renovated. North Rose is a few miles from Lake Ontario and about an hour’s drive to Rochester and Syracuse, New York.
