We are an Independent Baptist Church in SOUTHERN New Jersey. We are a small congregation which lost several members because of the Covid-19 shut down. Our church was founded in 1761 and are now in our fourth building. Our finances are strong and we are debt free because our members are willing to give back a portion of what God has given them. We require preaching from a strong scriptural background and prefer the KJV from the pulpit. Our congregation is made up largely of older retired sinners with a few young folks added in. Out worship services include Sunday AM, followed by Sunday School, and Evening service, with Prayer Meeting on Wednesday. We use a traditional format for all services.

The successful candidate must have at least a BS in religious/pastoral studies from a fundamental bible school. He should be easily approachable, friendly, able to assimilate into the church and community, A pianist and sense of humor would be a plus. He should also be able to make young people and young families feel welcome. Since we are a small church, he should be able and willing to help with mundane duties like annual inspections (fire and boiler, etc.) and annual paperwork.

Compensation would include a salary of $3-4000 monthly, plus one-week paid vacation to start with annual increases, a health insurance allowance and a parsonage.

We are in a small-town setting. The Jersey Shore, Philadelphia, and the Cape May Ferry are one hour away. Shopping centers about twenty minutes and Cumberland Christion School thirty minutes. Outdoor activities include the Jersey Shore and boardwalks, hunting, fresh and saltwater fishing and hiking. The Battleship New Jersey and Camden Aquarium are also near-by as are the Philadelphia Historical Sites including the Liberty Bell and Carpenters Hall and Betsy Ross House.
