Meet Destiny Worship Center:

Destiny Worship Center is a multi-campus church with six locations across the Florida Panhandle. We are passionate about Reaching People and Building Lives through life-giving worship and engaging teaching in our weekend services and developing people into discipled followers of Jesus. We exist to help people encounter Jesus and take their next step in their walk with God.

Our Worship Team serves each of our campuses by creating excellent, Christ-centered worship environments and developing teams that lead people into the presence of God. We value excellence, authenticity, collaboration, and a heart for the local church.

We are currently looking to add a Music Director (With a proficiency in Keys/Electric Guitar) to our Broadcast Campus Worship Team.

About the Role:

The Music Director will work closely with our Worship Pastor and Worship Team to help plan, prepare, and execute excellent weekend worship experiences across Destiny Worship Center.

• This role combines musical leadership, weekend service preparation, musicianship, and studio production. The Music Director will help build the musical resources our teams need to succeed, develop instrumental parts for weekend services and original music, and help maintain a consistent musical standard across our campuses.

This position is ideal for a skilled musician who has a heart for worship, loves developing music and people, and thrives in a collaborative team environment.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

• Work alongside the Worship Pastor in planning and preparing music for weekend services.
• Help build and prepare musical resources for weekend worship teams.
• Develop and arrange keys and/or electric guitar parts for weekend services.
• Work alongside our studio producer to write, arrange, and produce instrumental parts for original music.
• Create strong, creative sound design for new songs and studio projects.
• Resource campus worship teams with the musical tools and resources needed to successfully introduce new original songs, which will help ensure musical consistency and excellence across campuses.
• Learn and prepare music by ear while effectively utilizing the Nashville Number System.
• Collaborate with worship leaders, musicians, producers, and other team members.
• Remain flexible and willing to serve wherever needed during weekend services, recording projects, and special events.
• Contribute ideas and solutions during worship planning, rehearsals, and creative sessions.
• Continually develop as a musician, leader, and member of the Worship Team.

Areas of Responsibility

Weekend Worship and Events

• Partner with the Worship Pastor in weekend set planning and preparation.
• Develop and prepare instrumental parts for weekend services.
• Build resources that help musicians prepare effectively.
• Help maintain a high standard of musical excellence and consistency.
• Support worship teams and leaders throughout the preparation and rehearsal process.

Original Music & Studio

• Work alongside the studio producer in developing instrumental parts for original music.
• Write and produce keys and/or electric guitar parts.
• Develop creative and effective sounds for new songs and recordings.
• Help translate studio arrangements into resources that can be effectively used by campus worship teams.
• Support the development and rollout of new original songs across Destiny Worship Center campuses.

Team Collaboration

• Work closely with Worship Pastors, worship leaders, musicians, and production team members.
• Bring ideas and creative solutions to rehearsals, planning meetings, and studio sessions.
• Maintain a team-first attitude and remain flexible as ministry needs change.
• Receive direction and feedback with humility.
• Invest in the health, culture, and ministry of the Worship Team.

What We're Looking For:

• You are a highly capable keys and/or electric guitar player.
• You have the ability to learn music by ear.
• You understand and can effectively use the Nashville Number System.
• You have experience with at least one of the following: Pro Tools, Logic Pro, or Ableton Live.
• You have a strong understanding of sound design and can develop appropriate sounds and parts for both live worship and studio environments.
• You are comfortable writing and developing instrumental parts for new music.
• You are a team player who is flexible and willing to serve where needed.
• You are collaborative and enjoy creating alongside other musicians and leaders.
• You are humble, teachable, and willing to receive direction and feedback.
• You have a desire to continually grow musically, spiritually, and professionally.
• You have a genuine heart for people, team, and ministry.
• Proficiency on multiple instruments is preferred but not required.
• You have an obvious relationship with Jesus and desire to use your gifts to serve the local church.
