About our Church: Forest Grove Church is a non-denominational church with over 100 years of history, serving the South Knoxville community in East Tennessee. Average attendance on Sunday is 60-75 persons. We are a blended congregation with attendance stretching across all age demographics. We have a strong desire to serve those in the community as a major part of our evangelical outreach. We believe:

• The Bible is the Word of God and is infallible. 
• Jesus Christ is the Son of God, was born to a virgin, lived as man, died, and resurrected, now sitting at the right hand of the Father.
• Holy Spirit is the third part of the Trinity and has been assigned to live in all believers that have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

Bi-vocational Sr. Pastor

Forest Grove Church is seeking a passionate and experienced Pastor to lead our church. This key leadership role will lead with the Board of Elders and have the following qualifications:

• Clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a genuine call to pastoral ministry.
• Meets the biblical qualifications of pastor/elder (1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9).
• Licensed and ordained minister.
• Demonstrated experience in pastoral leadership or similar ministry role.
• Passionate for people of the congregation.
• Strong teaching, preaching and communication skills being articulate in speech and theology.
• Consistent personal walk with Christ Jesus.

Primary Responsibilities

• Preaching & Teaching: Deliver biblically faithful sermons and instruction. Lead Wed. night and Sunday services.
• Pastoral Care: Provide counseling, visitation, and care during life events and challenges.
• Leadership & Vision: Work collaboratively with church leadership to fulfill the mission and ministry goals of the church.
