ASSOCIATE PASTOR OF WORSHIP AND MEDIA
This is a full-time leadership position reporting directly to the Senior Pastor
POSITION SUMMARY
The Associate Pastor of Worship and Media provides pastoral, musical, technical, and administrative leadership for the church’s worship and media ministries. Working with the Senior Pastor and staff, this role plans and leads biblically faithful worship services; oversees rehearsals, special services, media production, and live streaming; and recruits, equips, and shepherds ministry volunteers.
This position requires musical and technical ability, strong organization and communication, and, above all, a shepherd’s heart committed to loving people and advancing the church’s mission and vision.

QUALIFICATIONS
· Experience: At least five years of worship ministry leadership experience.
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in music, worship ministry, theology, or a related field.
· Leadership: Proven ability to equip, develop, and lead ministry leaders and volunteers.
· Character: A mature and growing relationship with Jesus Christ, demonstrating the biblical qualifications for pastoral leadership as described in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1.
· Doctrine: Agreement with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 and support for the mission, vision, and leadership of Trinity Baptist Church.
· Communication: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with volunteers, staff, and the church body.
REPORTING AND STAFF EXPECTATIONS
· The Associate Pastor of Worship and Media reports directly to the Senior Pastor.
· Participate in Sunday worship, Wednesday activities, rehearsals, and other church events.
· Attend leadership and staff meetings while supporting a healthy and unified staff culture.
· Work with church and TCS staff to support shared ministry priorities and Trinity’s mission.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. WORSHIP MINISTRY
· Provide authentic, confident, and pastoral leadership for Sunday worship services, helping the congregation participate meaningfully in worship.
· Work with the Senior Pastor and staff to plan, pray through, and execute worship services that are biblically faithful, theologically sound, and aligned with the church’s vision.
· Select music that is doctrinally sound and appropriate for a multigenerational body.
· Oversee the worship team, choir, orchestra, and other musical ministries of the church.
· Recruit, develop, train, encourage, and schedule worship volunteers via Planning Center.
· Lead rehearsals, ensuring the stage, A/V equipment, and resources are ready for worship.
· Ensure every part of the service supports the gospel rather than distract from it.
· Lead special services, seasonal events, funerals, and other occasions as requested.
· Develop worship opportunities that encourage participation and community engagement.
2. MEDIA
· Oversee and troubleshoot ProPresenter, sound, lighting, video, and live-streaming systems, ensuring they are prepared and operated with excellence.
· Recruit, train, and schedule volunteers for worship technology and production.
· Establish processes that promote consistency across the worship and media ministries.
· Assist with technology needs for TCS chapels and campus events as requested.
· Oversee the proper care, maintenance, and inventory of worship and media equipment.
· Ensure compliance with applicable music, media, streaming, and copyright licenses.
3. ADMINISTRATIVE
· Develop, manage, and oversee the annual worship and media ministry budget.
· Establish annual ministry goals that align with the church’s mission, vision, and priorities.
· Communicate clearly and consistently with volunteers, staff, and ministry leaders.
· Maintain appropriate calendars, schedules, records, and ministry plans.
4. PASTORAL ROLE
· Shepherd and spiritually develop those serving within the worship and media ministries.
· Share in the pastoral care of the congregation, including visitation, hospital care, funerals, and other member needs.
· Support the mission, vision, doctrine, and leadership of Trinity Baptist Church.
· Serve humbly, cooperatively, and professionally with church and TCS staff.
· Build healthy ministry relationships marked by communication, shared goals, and trust.
· Participate in staff meetings, ministry planning, church events, and other responsibilities.
· Perform other ministry responsibilities as assigned by the Senior Pastor.
OVERALL GOAL
The Associate Pastor of Worship and Media Pastor shepherds worship and media teams and leads the church in biblically faithful, Spirit-led worship that exalts Christ, supports the proclamation of the gospel, and advances Trinity’s mission.
