Church: Cypress Creek Church (Lutz/Wesley Chapel, FL)
Pay: $400-500/week
Hours: 15–20 hours/week (includes office + rehearsals + services)
Start Date: ASAP (flexible for the right candidate)
Role Summary
Cypress Creek Church is seeking an energetic, modern Worship Leader who can lead our church in passionate, skillful worship with excellence and humility. This person will help build and develop a healthy worship culture by recruiting, training, and shepherding volunteers, planning sets, and leading services with strong musical and spiritual leadership.
Required Weekly Schedule (Mandatory)
- Wednesdays: 6:00 PM – 8:30 PM (Student Ministry Optional)
- Thursdays: 6:00 PM – 9:30 PM (rehearsal)
- Sundays: 7:30 AM – 2:00 PM (two services: 9:30 AM + 11:30 AM)
- Additional office/prep hours (to reach 15–20 total hours/week) scheduled with leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead worship on Sundays with musical excellence and pastoral sensitivity.
- Plan worship sets aligned with sermon direction and the church’s vision.
- Build, recruit, schedule, and develop a volunteer worship team (musicians + vocalists).
- Run and lead rehearsals that are efficient, encouraging, and focused.
- Use worship planning tools and keep plans organized and communicated in advance.
- Help create a culture of spiritual health, teamwork, growth, and accountability.
- Collaborate with production/AVL team to ensure smooth services (transitions, cues, tempo, tracks).
Skills & Qualifications (Required)
- 2+ years experience leading worship (church setting preferred).
- Strong vocalist with ability to lead a wide variety of modern worship songs (high-energy and reflective).
- Able to play an instrument (guitar or keys preferred).
- Working knowledge of basic music theory (keys, timing, song structure, arranging, transposing).
- Comfortable using a computer and worship software, including:
- Multitracks
- ChartBuilder
- Planning Center
- Strong communicator: clear with volunteers, encouraging in tone, punctual with details.
- Able to recruit, train, and lead teams (not just “sing songs” — build people).

- Passionate about worship as ministry — not performance — and cares for people.
Preferred (Nice to Have)
- Experience building volunteer systems (scheduling, onboarding, development tracks).
- Ability to arrange songs for your team’s skill level.
- Familiarity working alongside a modern production environment (click, cues, tracks).
Work Environment
- In-person role with required rehearsal and service days.
- Office/prep hours are coordinated weekly.
