We're looking for a Youth Minister to lead and grow our youth ministry program. This isn't about running a polished program from a distance — it's about showing up, building real relationships with teenagers, and walking alongside them through the messy, formative years of their lives. You'll plan and lead regular programming, but the real work happens in the in-between moments.
What you'll do- Plan and lead weekly youth group meetings, retreats, and seasonal events- Build genuine, ongoing relationships with youth and their families- Coordinate with church leadership on curriculum, calendars, and special services- Recruit, train, and support adult volunteers who work with the youth program- Create an environment where teenagers feel welcomed, known, and challenged to grow- Connect with local schools, community groups, and other youth organizations- Provide pastoral support and referrals when students are going through hard things
About you- Genuine faith commitment and alignment with our church's values- Experience working with teenagers — in ministry, education, coaching, or another setting- You don't need to have all the answers; you do need to be trustworthy, present, and consistent- Strong communicator — comfortable leading a room of restless 14-year-olds and presenting to parents- Organized enough to manage a calendar, budget, and a rotating cast of volunteers
Nice to have- Background in theology, religious studies, or a related field- Experience with curriculum development or small group facilitation- Existing relationships in the Doylestown area faith community
What we offer- A supportive church community that takes youth ministry seriously- Flexibility in schedule to accommodate school calendars and family rhythms- Collaborative leadership team that values your input
