Job Description

As the Early Education Center Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the lives of young learners and supporting families in their educational and spiritual journey. 


FBC Ocean Springs is blessed to operate a Monday-Friday half-day childcare program for children ages 2-5 in our church building. The Early Education Center Director is responsible for leading the team of 7 teachers and overseeing all EEC operations.


Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in childcare field and 2 years paid experience in childcare field.
  • Membership at FBCOS.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Administrative Leadership: Oversee all administrative functions, including enrollment, budgeting, record-keeping, and reporting.
  2. Staff Management: Create staff schedules, substitute teachers, and ensure adequate coverage across classrooms and programs.
  3. Compliance and Safety: Uphold and enforce state licensing requirements and safety standards.
  4. Program and Calendar Planning: Design and implement an annual calendar of educational programs, events, and activities.
  5. Leadership and Vision: Serve as the face of the center, promoting the center’s and FBCOS’s mission and values in the community.


Working Conditions

5 days a week, part-time, onsite leadership role.

Requires flexibility to schedule substitutes at any time.

Involves regular interaction with children, families, staff, and community partners.


Salary: $15,000-20,000 annually
