Middle School Coordinator (Part-Time/Full-Time depending on qualifications)
General Description
The middle school coordinator is responsible for facilitating all needed requirements to help aid the student ministry staff in ministering to the students, leaders, and parents of the church body.
Essential Job Functions
1. Serve as a point of contact for middle school parents and meet with them as needed.
2. Lead and oversee middle school volunteer leaders.
3. Develop discipling relationships with middle school students.
4. Lead a life group and/or community group of middle schoolers.
5. Assist student ministry staff in the overall vision, planning, implementation, etc. of the student ministry.
6. Plan details, logistics, and flow of events. This includes sending emails to necessary personnel.
7. Faithfully teach and preach God’s word to students regularly.
8. Assist student staff in developing and implementing biblical curriculum.
9. Seek to mentor and disciple 1-5 students throughout each semester.
10. Assist student staff in various miscellaneous tasks which include, but are not limited to, setting up for events, managing supply inventory, running errands for needed supplies, etc.
Education and Experience
Requirements vary depending on part-time or full-time status. Minimum requirements: Must be pursuing a college education. Desire to go into full-time ministry in the future, and volunteer experience in ministry is preferred.
Schedule
Depending on part-time or full-time status. Minimum schedule commitment:
· Sunday mornings
· Sunday evenings 5-8 pm
· Wednesday evenings 5:30-8:00 pm.
· 12+ weekday office hours
