Director of Family Ministries (Children & Middle School)

Scullville Bible Church is seeking a biblically grounded, energetic, and relational leader to help disciple children, teens, and families—and to build ministries that are safe, joyful, and deeply rooted in God’s Word.

We are a non-denominational, non-charismatic evangelical church with a heart for reaching the next generation and their families. This role focuses on developing volunteers, strengthening children’s and youth ministries, and creating outreach opportunities that connect our church with unchurched kids and families in our community.

• Has a solid, biblically faithful walk with Christ
• Loves kids, teens, and families and enjoys being with them
• Is teachable, servant-hearted, and team-oriented
• Brings creativity, initiative, and a sense of adventure to ministry
• Desires to help raise up the next generation to know and follow Jesus
• Is a pioneer willing to start and dream up new ministries

Formal seminary or Bible college training is not required. We are more concerned with character, calling, and passion for ministry than years of experience.

Position Details

• Part-time or full-time (flexible hours, except Sunday mornings and youth gatherings)
• Competitive salary, discussed openly early in the process
• On-campus housing in a 3-bedroom apartment is a part of the compensation package

Our campus in Egg Harbor Township, NJ includes dedicated children’s and youth spaces, a gym, kitchens, offices, outdoor areas, and housing—and is just minutes from Ocean City and Atlantic City beaches.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Lead Pastor for coaching, accountability, and ministry alignment
• Recruit, screen, train, schedule, and care for Nursery & Children’s Ministry volunteers
• Select and implement engaging, age-appropriate, biblically faithful children’s curriculum
• Lead weekly weekday ministry for middle school / junior high students, including camps, retreats, and summer activities
• Plan and oversee regular outreach and fellowship events for unchurched kids and families
• Build relationships with kids, parents, and the broader community—both inside and outside church walls
