POSITION TITLE:
Administrator – Troy First Christian Academy (TFCA)
POSITION SUMMARY
The Administrator of Troy First Christian Academy provides spiritual, academic, and operational leadership for the Academy. This individual ensures that TFCA operates with excellence in Christian education, alignment with the mission of Troy First Baptist Church, and full compliance with applicable standards and policies.
The Administrator shepherds the staff, partners with parents, supports students, and leads the Academy in a way that advances the church’s mission to make disciples.
PERSONAL & SPIRITUAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Is a professing believer in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and demonstrates clear spiritual maturity.
- Is a member of Troy First Baptist Church or is willing to become a member upon hire.
- Affirms the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.
- Affirms and lives consistently with the TFBC Church Covenant and Staff Lifestyle Agreement.
- Fully supports the mission and vision of TFBC and TFCA.
- Maintains a disciplined daily time with the Lord in Bible study and prayer.
- Leads with humility, integrity, wisdom, and courage.
- Is approachable, teachable, and an effective listener.
- Demonstrates a shepherd’s heart toward students, families, and staff.
- A Master's degree is preferable. Bachelor’s degree required.
- Educational experience preferable.
RESPONSIBILITIES
● SPIRITUAL LEADERSHIP
- Ensure that Christ is central in the philosophy, curriculum, and culture of the Academy.
- Lead faculty in integrating biblical worldview into all areas of learning.
- Provide spiritual encouragement and accountability to staff.
- Partner with pastoral leadership to maintain theological alignment with TFBC.
● ACADEMIC LEADERSHIP
- Oversee curriculum selection, implementation, and evaluation.
- Ensure educational excellence across all grade levels.
- Lead faculty development, evaluation, and ongoing training.
- Monitor student progress and promote continuous academic improvement.
● STAFF LEADERSHIP & DEVELOPMENT
- Hire, supervise, evaluate, and support all Academy staff in conjunction with the School Board.
- Cultivate a healthy, unified, mission-driven team culture.
- Provide clear expectations, accountability, and encouragement to staff.
- Address personnel matters with wisdom, fairness, and confidentiality.
● OPERATIONS & COMPLIANCE
- Oversee day-to-day school operations.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and state educational requirements.
- Maintain appropriate student records and reporting systems.
- Oversee campus safety procedures and emergency preparedness.
● FAMILY & COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
- Serve as the primary point of contact for parents regarding academic or disciplinary matters.
- Foster strong communication between school and families.
- Promote TFCA to the broader community, as well as the church family.
- Lead tours and enrollment conversations and opportunities with prospective families.
● FINANCIAL STEWARDSHIP
- Develop and manage the annual Academy budget in coordination with the finance office and the School Board.
- Monitor tuition, enrollment trends, and financial sustainability.
- Ensure responsible stewardship of all Academy resources.
● STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP
- The Administrator serves under the direction of the School Board and Senior Pastor (or his designee) and is responsible for implementing the vision, policies, and strategic direction of Troy First Baptist Church and Troy First Christian Academy.
- Work with the School Board and Senior Pastor (or his designee) to develop and implement long-term vision and growth strategies.
- Align Academy goals with the overall mission of TFBC.
- Lead continuous evaluation and improvement initiatives.
● OTHER
- Perform other duties as appropriate to this position, serving in all ways to honor the Lord Jesus Christ and advance the mission of Troy First Baptist Church.
