About Us:
Community Bible Church is a growing non-denominational church with approximately 700 in attendance in person on a Sunday morning. Our purpose is to make disciples who declare the gospel of Jesus Christ. We are Elder led with the staff executing the vision for CBC on a day-to-day basis.
We are located in Brighton, MI (Livingston, co) www.brightoncity.org.
Job Title: CBCKids Pastor
Status: Full-time - Exempt
Salary Range: $40 - 55, 000 + benefits
Supervisor Title: Executive Pastor

Overview:
This position is a director-level position with an emphasis on CBCKids ages 0 - 5th Grade.
This person is responsible for creating an engaging, exciting, and effective plan to make fully devoted followers of Jesus for children from nursery - 5th Grade.
Qualifications
Character:
- Has a good reputation in accord with the New Testament qualifications for pastors.
- Self-starter.
- Humble and flexible team player.
Competence:
- A bachelor’s degree in education, ministry, or similar discipline (or commensurate vocational experience) is required.
- This person should exemplify gifts from Ephesians 4 of a shepherd and evangelist.
- Possess the qualities of a leader who can enlist, equip, and empower an army of volunteer leaders.
- Demonstrable experience designing an engaging ministry for kids.
- This person comes ready with a vision for developing a discipleship pathway for kids.
- The candidate should understand the developmental needs of children.
- Be experienced in designing a program that will engage CBCKids to God’s Word utilizing age-appropriate tools and creating an environment that fosters excitement.
- They are organized with a track record for seeing plans through to completion.

- Able to connect well with staff, Elders, and people of CBC.
- Must believe in the team approach to ministry.
- Desires to be held accountable by the Elders of CBC.
- Loyal - Hopes to see this be at least a 5-year partnership.
Essential Job Functions:
- Lead a team of volunteers to execute a children’s ministry, including weekend services and periodic special events.
- Regularly select or develop a curriculum for a children’s Christian education program part of the church’s weekend service schedule.
- Implement children’s registration, classroom management, and security policies/practices supporting weekend services and periodic special events.
- Direct the recruitment, training, and development of volunteers as needed to staff children’s ministry classrooms and special events.
- Design and plan periodic child dedication services as required, meeting the needs and expectations of families attending the church.
- Lead the creative use and proactive upkeep of children’s ministry facilities and grounds.
- Assist in the development of an annual budget for children’s ministries and manage spending to budget.
- Function as a member of the church’s Pastoral Staff performing baptism services, weddings, funerals, etc., as part of a rotation schedule.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
