STUDENT AND FAMILY PASTOR

Living Oaks is searching for gospel-centered, disciple-making, leaders of leaders who can help rebuild their student and kids ministries. Living Oaks has a great history and the future is bright. This new leader will have the opportunity to shape the Family Ministries as Living Oaks continues to love God, love people, and make disciples.

STUDENT MINISTRY - Middle and High School - 6th grade - 12th grade

Sunday Mornings

Student Ministries meet on Sunday mornings after worshipping in the adult worship service with their families! This is a time to dive into God’s Word at a student-specific level, often including illustrations, activities, and breakout groups. Their goal is to resume a full worship service for Middle School and High School in the future.Student Ministries are currently going through the Book of James, discovering how faith in Jesus as our Savior leads to a life of living out the word of God!

D-Groups - Wednesday nights 6:30-8:30

Every Wednesday night students gather for a time of fun, fellowship, and Bible study. Both Middle School and High School meet together and then break up into age- and gender-specific discipleship groups where they talk about being disciples of Jesus in everyday life!

Summer Camp

Every year the Students Ministries heads to Hume Lake for a week of camp. This has been a long standing tradition that has greatly impacted the lives of many who attend Living Oaks. 

Events

Throughout the year Students Ministries hosts fun events, including:

Block Party - summer kick off event that takes over the entire campus with music, games, and activities 

Worship Nights - food trucks and live concert with worship team from Hume Lake

Day Trips - beach days, hiking trips, etc.

Apologetics Conference - annual student apologetics conference with Stand to Reason in Orange County featuring engaging speakers and dynamic worship

Turkey Table: potluck Thanksgiving meal with thankful poetry slam and turkey bowling
