The Children’s Ministry Director position is integral to our desire to help lost, broken people become passionate, devoted followers of Jesus both here and abroad. We take seriously the call of the church to teach successive generations the joy of loving and serving God through a faith in Jesus as his risen son. We seek someone who shares that passion to lead our ministry to preschoolers and children. Like all of our ministries, it is imperative that excellence be the standard in all aspects of the Preschool and Children’s Ministry at Quest Fellowship. The Children’s Ministry Director will be responsible for the overall planning and performance of the related ministry for children from birth through 5th gradeand their parents. The primary worship and teaching time, Kid Quest, takes place during the adult worship hours on Sunday. The specific duties will include, but are not necessarily limited to, the following:
• Recruitment of volunteers for the work of the ministry across a multiple service environment
• Oversight of all volunteers and staff associated with the ministry
• Development and training of individuals involved in the ministry
• Planning and developing all ministry components around the 252 Basics curriculum
• Planning and management of the ministry budget
• Attendance at staff meetings
• Work with the staff team in planning for overall direction of the ministry
• Evaluation and ordering of all ministry-related curriculum and/or resources
• Focused planning for weekly Kid Quest worship, coordinating music and lesson curriculum
• Development and implementation of other activities outside of Sunday, with an emphasis on connecting to unchurched families
• Evaluation and ordering of all equipment and/or furniture related to the ministry
• Work with other staff to develop parent training to enhance the spiritual development of our preschoolers and children at home
• Maintain volunteer background checks
• Provide input for website related to ministry
• Design and produce all printed materials associated with ministry
• Actively seek opportunities for additional training and development of leadership skills specifically related to preschool and children’s ministry
