Job Description

New Day Christian Church in Port Charlotte, Florida is looking for a student pastor for their Port Charlotte campus. They desire a vibrant leader among the staff and church body contributing to the church’s mission to engage people with the love of God, inspire them to follow Jesus, and equip them to serve our world and ultimately its vision to be a church that multiplies people and churches. This person will be the primary communicator and vision caster to student ministry and those who minister to/among them.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Developing a student ministry strategic plan
  • Developing and implementing effective student ministry outreach initiatives
  • Resourcing and equipping rotation of student ministry communicators
  • Resourcing relevant, challenging student ministry curriculum that engages students from both within and outside the existing NDCC church community
  • Participating as a full member of the pastoral staff, attending such meetings and special events as required

What you need to have:

  • High relationship skills with students
  • Strong Biblical world view and countercultural approach to ministry
  • Great speaking skills
  • Ability to keep up with today’s technology

Charlotte County is the second oldest demographic county in the US and is the last of the gulf coast communities to be built up. It is a diamond in the rough. The community is service-based and easy for one to retire. Charlotte County has some amazing beaches and rivers that flow to the Gulf of Mexico. Additionally, we are the spring training site for the Tampa Bay Rays baseball team and the new home of the Atlanta Braves spring training site.
