About Elevate Christian Church

Elevate Christian Church is a growing, elder-led congregation located in the vibrant community of Hiram with quick access to Marietta and Dallas, Georgia as well as downtown Atlanta. We are a multi-generational church averaging approximately 250 people in weekly attendance and have recently expanded to two Sunday morning services (9:30 and 11:00 AM) to accommodate continued growth. At Elevate, our mission is simple: Connecting people to God and to each other. We are passionate about biblical teaching, authentic relationships, thriving youth and children's ministries, and creating worship experiences that help people encounter God in meaningful ways. We are seeking a Worship Minister who loves Jesus, loves people, and has a passion for leading others into worship. The ideal candidate will not simply lead songs but will help cultivate a culture of worship throughout our church while developing and shepherding a team of volunteers.

Position Summary

The Worship Minister will provide spiritual, musical, and creative leadership for the worship ministry of Elevate Christian Church. This individual will work closely with the Lead Minister, Production Director, and church leadership team to create engaging worship experiences that align with the church's mission and vision. We value creativity, flexibility, and authenticity, and we encourage our Worship Minister to bring fresh ideas and innovation while remaining grounded in biblical truth.

Compensation: Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Time Commitment

This is a full-time position. However, we are open to discussing a part-time arrangement for the right candidate by adjusting responsibilities as needed.

Key Responsibilities

Worship Service Leadership

-Plan, coordinate, and lead weekly worship services.

-Select songs, Scripture readings, and creative worship elements that support the sermon message and church vision.

-Lead worship with excellence, authenticity, and spiritual sensitivity.

-Help create meaningful worship environments that encourage participation and spiritual growth.

Team Development & Shepherding

-Recruit, train, disciple, and mentor worship team members.

-Foster a healthy, encouraging, and spiritually nurturing team culture.

-Schedule volunteers and oversee weekly rehearsals.

-Help volunteers grow in both their musical abilities and their walk with Christ.

Service Planning & Collaboration

-Collaborate closely with the Lead Minister and Production Director in planning services and special events.

-Participate in staff meetings and ministry planning discussions as needed.

-Assist with worship planning for seasonal services and church-wide events including Easter, Christmas, and other special gatherings.

Administrative Responsibilities

-Manage the worship ministry budget responsibly.

-Oversee and maintain worship equipment, instruments, and worship-related resources.

-Organize song libraries, Planning Center, and worship schedules.

-Ensure worship ministry resources support the goals of the church.

Spiritual Leadership

-Model Christlike character and a growing relationship with Jesus.

-Support the overall mission and vision of Elevate Christian Church.

-Build relationships with church members and actively participate in the life of the congregation.

-Encourage a culture of worship, unity, and spiritual maturity throughout the church.

Qualifications

Spiritual Qualifications

-A personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.

-A commitment to living according to biblical principles and demonstrating Christian character.

-Alignment with Elevate Christian Church's mission of connecting people to God and to each other.

-A heart for shepherding and serving people.

Ministry & Leadership Qualifications

-Experience leading worship in a church setting preferred.

-Ability to recruit, lead, develop, and inspire volunteer teams.

-Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

-Ability to work collaboratively with church staff, elders, and ministry leaders.

Musical Qualifications

-Strong vocal leadership skills and/or proficiency on a lead instrument (guitar, piano, or similar).

-Ability to lead contemporary worship effectively in a multi-generational church environment.

-Familiarity with worship technology, media, and planning tools is preferred.

At Elevate Christian Church we believe that there is one true God, the creator of all things, who eternally exists in three persons: Father, Son Holy Spirit (Genesis 1:1; Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19; I Timothy 1:17). We also believe that Jesus Christ is the one only Son of God who died for our sins rose from the dead (John 3:16; 1 Corinthians 15: 1-8; 2 Corinthians 5:21). We believe that the Bible is the inspired inerrant Word of God. It is the supreme source of truth the final authority for all matters of Christian faith practice (Psalm 119:105; 2 Timothy 3:16-17). At Elevate we believe that every person has worth as a creation of God, but that all have sinned fall short of the glory of God (Genesis 1:26-27; Romans 3:23). We at Elevate know that the forgiveness of sins is available only by the grace of God through the blood of Jesus Christ. It is available to those who accept Christ as their Savior Lord (John 3:16; Acts 4:12; Ephesians 2:8-9). Elevate continues to believe that those accepting Christ in faith should repent of sin, confess their faith, be baptized into Him (Romans 10:9-10; Acts 2:38; Romans 6:1-7). Elevate Christian Church also knows that the Holy Spirit is at work in the world today to make people aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He is in the life of every believer from the moment of salvation equips them for personal growth service to Jesus Christ (John 16:7-13, John 14:16-17; Ephesians 1:13; Galatians 5:22-25). And we believe that the church is the body of Christ on earth, empowered by the Holy Spirit, exists to save the lost strengthen the saved (Matthew 28:18-20; Ephesians 4:1-16). Lastly, our church knows that Jesus Christ will one day return to earth reign forevermore (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18).

Now that you know what exactly it is that we believe at Elevate, we can also tell you a little bit about our congregation, the people who actually make Elevate a church! We have a wide range of ages within our congregation from birth all the way up to 80+. We love that our congregation truly does act work like a family. We show up for each other, help each other when able, love to do life together. Elevate loves for people to come gather on Sunday mornings for coffee, worship, prayer, hearing a sermon from our preacher, fellowship with each other. And we love for you to be comfortable while doing it because the focus should be all on God!
