Worship Arts Director

Position Overview

Bridge Bible Church, a two-campus work in Muskegon, Michigan, is looking for an individual with a passion to help facilitate individual and corporate worship. Essential qualifications include a growing relationship with God, agreement with the church’s doctrine/mission/values, an eagerness to develop ministry teams, vocal/instrumental music and technology proficiency, understanding of and appreciation for varying styles and components (including non-musical elements), familiarity with online and other resources, good organizational and communication skills, a commitment to balance excellence and simplicity, traits such as loyalty, teachability, creativity, adaptability, and humility, and a readiness to lead in the spirit of 1 Peter 5:1-4. In conjunction with staff and volunteer leaders and based on ever-changing ministry needs, areas of focus include Sunday services and special events, including weddings and funerals. The position is full-time; salary and benefits are commensurate with education and experience, and include generous vacation leave and paid holidays. Key domains of oversight involve:

·     Recruiting, training, mentoring, caring for, and scheduling music and tech personnel

·     Leading rehearsals in preparation for public worship services

·     Ensuring compliance with applicable copyright licensing and reporting

·     Maintaining audio-visual equipment, computers/tablets, and musical instruments

·     Coordinating arrangements for guest musicians, ministry partners, and outside preachers

·     Assisting with various communication portals such as social media, pre-service slides, etc.

·     Formatting weekly sermons for uploading to the church website and Facebook pages

·     Creating, updating, and formatting information in Planning Center and Pro-Presenter

·     Configuring stage equipment set-up, including any visual and aesthetic elements

·     Promoting church-wide authentic community and a genuine worship culture

·     Modeling faithful, exemplary involvement as part of a servant-leader team framework
