PURPOSE AND ROLE
Tiffany Fellowship Church (TFC) is an Assembly of God church located in Kansas City, Missouri. Our mission is to go deeper, not just in our personal relationships with Jesus Christ, but in creating disciples. We are looking to fill a full-time position to oversee all aspects of our middle school and high school student ministries. While the role of a youth pastor encompasses many different responsibilities, the mission always remains the same: to create an atmosphere that allows students to experience God in the greatest way possible.
We are seeking an experienced individual who is a committed follower of Jesus with a passion for leading, mentoring, and discipling high school and middle school students. We’re looking for someone who can be a contributing part of the pastoral team, has a teachable spirit, and can take initiative to relate well with youth, parents, and volunteer team members.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
· Have an authentic, growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
· Passionate about Jesus and passionate about reaching teens for Jesus.
· Hold ministerial credentials, seeking ministerial credentials, or will pursue ministerial credentials with the Assemblies of God.
· At least 2 years of experience in youth ministry leadership.
· Some college education is preferred.
EXPECTATIONS AND SKILLS
· Develop a strategic plan for the student ministry.
· Display the heart of a shepherd and possess the gift of guiding students through age-appropriate discipleship.
· Must understand, adhere to and be willing to teach in accordance with the Assembly of God statement of fundamental beliefs.
· Organize and plan meetings, events, and weekly services.
· Train adult and student leadership effectively.
· Oversee TFC’s involvement in youth district events such as summer camp and youth convention.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Will work as a part of the pastoral team for the purpose of fulfilling the overall purpose and mission of TFC.
· Participate in all staff meetings and general pastoral duties as needed and assigned.
