Worship Pastor

The Worship Pastor is responsible for leading or coordinating worship at Crosspoint

Ministries. This includes services for the main church on Sunday and Thrive Student Ministries (youth program). Crosspoint has 3 services on a Sunday morning – a traditional service at 8:00, followed by 2 contemporary services. Total Sunday morning attendance was approximately 1,000 pre-Covid, and is currently around 600.

Responsibilities

The Worship Pastor will:

1. Lead or coordinate worship for Crosspoint Ministries;

2. Coordinate music practices and rehearsals;

3. Mentor and disciple worship team members;

4. Continue to fulfill the vision for the music ministry that aligns with the mission, vision and core values of Crosspoint Ministries;

5. Oversee the digital media and tech departments;

6. Manage the use of the auditorium with respect to all events;

7. Oversee recruitment and development of all music personnel; and

8. Oversee and coordinate music for church outreach events.

Qualifications

The Worship Pastor will:

1. Be able to lead a congregation in worship in both traditional and contemporary music;

2. Preferably have a theological and music education;

3. Have experience leading, organizing, and scheduling a team of people;

4. Be able to sing and play an instrument;

5. Be able to arrange music and lead a worship band;

6. Be fiscally responsible and be able to manage a budget;

7. Be proficient with musical software (such as Ableton, Pro-presenter, and Planning Center) and PC based office management software;

8. Have excellent oral and written communication skills; and

9. Connect well with people and be an excellent motivator and encourager of worship team members.

Crosspoint Church is a non-denominational evangelical church that is theologically in alignment with Baptist doctrines. We are one of the larger churches in Maine, with an average Sunday morning attendance of 1,000 pre-covid. We are currently about 500-600 and in the process of rebuilding. We have several associated ministries including a Christian School and a women's shelter.
