Job Description

We are looking to hire a Student Pastor to lead and guide the High School and Middle School Student Ministry at Fellowship Community Church. The Student Pastor will strive to create a welcoming and supportive environment that encourages students to actively participate in programming and cultivate a biblically based understanding of God and His Word. The Student Pastor will contribute to our thriving church ministry, plan and facilitate student functions on and off site, grow relationships with community leaders and provide students with Biblical based counseling.

Qualifications: 

·        Evident Relationship with Jesus Christ 

·        Self-directed, organizational and time management skills 

·        Active listening, outstanding public speaking and superior verbal and written skills 

·        Passion for connecting with students and serving others with the ability to lead by example 

·        Proficient understanding of the challenges and needs of adolescents 

·        Philosophical alignment with church leadership

·        Passionate about casting vision and developing leaders

·        Demonstrate leadership for the church and theological discernment

·        Possess pastoral influence, verbal communication skills, and cultural awareness

·        Commitment to personal evangelism and church wide mission involvement

·        Preferred 3-5 year experience in student ministry, with proven track record of growth 

·        Seminary, Bible College or comparable experience

·        Good standing FCC Membership or willing to become active member 

 

Responsibilities: 

·        Cultivate a welcoming community where every student knows they are loved 

·        Ignite and mature student’s relationships with Jesus Christ & grow their knowledge of His Word 

·        Plan, organize and execute ministry programs 

·        Develop positive relationships with students, fellow staff and families 

·        Develop, facilitate and lead student worship experiences, events and small group studies 

·        Promote and incorporate students into various church ministries while increasing student ministry awareness 

·        Develop and maintain effective relationships with various members of the community and church body to help cultivate ministry outreach programs 

·        Manage personnel at main campus and coordinate with personnel at satellite locations 

·        Train, recruit and develop volunteers for efficient implementation of church programs helping them to develop mentoring relationships with students

·        Develop relationships and maintain regular communication with parents

·        Develop a thriving small group ministry for students

·        Work with other student directors to coordinate large outreach events to reach un-churched students   

·        Participate and contribute to church/staff meetings and outreach events

·        Regularly Visit the various schools for lunches, school events, sporting events, etc.

·        Train and allow practice for students to utilize various methods of evangelism such as “cold calls”, relational, testimonies, servant hood, etc.

·        Baptize our students at church wide baptisms

·        Provide a consistent pastoral presence for the families of our church
