Worship Leader

Job Description

This worship leader position is one that oversees and directs the Contemporary Worship experience in the Church. This person will recruit, equip, and lead the contemporary worship leaders and teams and collaboratively implement the church's mission, vision, values, and strategy. This person would be expected to have a high level of musical talents, have an ability to connect build relationship with individuals and families that participate in our contemporary worship both in person and online, continue to develop and guide the band that leads in this service, and collaboratively plan and implement weekly worship experiences that will welcome and engage those who currently participate as well as engaging those that we have not yet been able to connect with.

About Maumee UMC

Maumee United Methodist Church is a mid sized congregation that offers both traditional and contemporary worship, as well as both in person and online worship. We are strongly committed to engage our community and are actively working in recovery and other ministries like that. There is a strong group of musicians in place for the contemporary worship, so the new worship leader would not be starting from scratch. We know that our mission is to make Disciples of Jesus engaging with people where they are so they can come to know and follow Jesus themselves.
